After entering the Yostream Studio, you'll see the following screen:
Click the Share icon located at the bottom.
You can share a specific tab, window, or the entire screen using different browsers while live streaming. In this demonstration, we've used Chrome. Let's know more about the options you get before sharing your screen:
Chrome Tab
What it is: This option allows you to share a specific tab while live streaming.
Use case: Ideal for sharing web-based content like websites, online presentations, or web applications. It limits the viewer's access to just the selected tab.
Pros: Privacy is better maintained because only the selected tab is shared, not other tabs or applications. It also often consumes less bandwidth.
Cons: If you need to switch to different tabs or applications, you have to stop sharing and start again with the new tab or application.
Window
What it is: This option allows you to share a specific application window while live streaming.
Use case: Useful when you need to show content from a particular application, like a presentation from PowerPoint or a document from Word, without showing your entire desktop.
Pros: Focused sharing of a specific application window helps maintain the privacy of other applications and reduces distractions for viewers.
Cons: If you switch to a different application or window, viewers won't see the switch unless you change your sharing settings.
Entire Screen
What it is: This option allows you to share everything on your screen, including your desktop and all open applications.
Use case: Best when you need to demonstrate multiple applications, navigate between different windows, or show your full desktop experience.
Pros: Flexibility to show anything on your screen without having to change sharing settings.
Cons: Less privacy, as viewers can see everything on your screen, including potentially sensitive information. Also, it can be more bandwidth-intensive.
Select whichever you want, and click 'Share' button at the bottom-right corner.
How to stop sharing your screen?
Go back to your Studio. You'll see the Stop button instead of Share. Additionally, you can see a Stop sharing button at the top of your canvas. You can click either of them to stop sharing your screen.
