In this tutorial, we'll learn how to live stream to YouTube with OBS in simple steps. By carefully following the instructions, even a beginner can stream to YouTube like a professional.
Before we begin, please ensure the following:
- You've installed the latest version of Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) on your desktop.
- You've activated live streaming on YouTube.
- You know how to find the YouTube Stream Key and URL.
Step 1.
Open the OBS on your desktop.
Step 2.
Click Settings under Controls.
Step 3.
At your left panel, click Stream.
Step 4.
From the settings of your YouTube Studio, copy the Stream Key and URL. Paste them in OBS and click OK at the bottom.
Step 5.
In this demonstration, we've used the OBS virtual camera. Click Start Virtual Camera under Controls.
Step 6.
Everything has now been arranged to start streaming to YouTube with OBS. Now, click Start Streaming under Controls.
In the following pop-up, click Yes.
Visit your YouTube Studio.
You've successfully started live streaming to YouTube with OBS.
